Synopsis of “Me”

img_4523I am a 20-year-old girl from Mid-Ohio. I grew up on an alpaca farm in Ontario, OH and am now a student at Cleveland State University.  I am majoring in Journalism and Promotional Communication with an emphasis in public relations. I am also working to obtain minors in International Relations and Political Science. I am striving to learn all that I possibly can to make me a strong, successful, and well-rounded publicist. Most recently, I spent my summer in Costa Rica taking intensive Spanish courses. This academic year I am attending school at Mississippi State University as part of the National Student Exchange. I will return back to Cleveland and graduate in the Fall of 2018.

Below is a collection of things I can share about myself without a long, extensive, boring biography…enjoy!

“Pocket knives in their Wranglers and shotguns in their Chevys: a story of my redneck family.”-me

Who would I even be without my family?

The guys took a break from bailing hay one summer to hang out at Martha’s Vineyard.

“Soul Family: those that gather around you in your life, not connected by blood or race, but by energy and essence. They bring unconditional love and support at the perfect times and understand and share the same mission and purpose.”

To my Crossroads Church Family and my Guatemala Family, we are one and I am greatful.

If music heals the soul, then the artists are the doctors, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is the hospital.

The Rock Hall has become my all time favorite spot in Cleveland.

…Remember when the Warriors blew a 3-1 lead in the NBA finals?

Meeting JR Smith was cool, but recognizing October as down-syndrome month at Cleveland City Hall with him was cooler.

Me siento bendecido para ayudar esta chica atender a la escuela. Un alma hermosa.

For the past three years my mom and I have ventured to Guatemala for mission work, experiences I’ll cherish forever.

The underclassmen sang “Forget You” by Ceelo Green on graduation day.

But I’ll never forget my two high school besties, my old small town stomping grounds, or the day my diploma made all the high school grievances worth it.
The two beautiful gals that shared the high school milestones with me.

“I like the feel of leaving, to go find something new” -Kip Moore

Moving from a small town to Cleveland has been nothing short of an adventure.
I think the best view of Cleveland is to get yourself to the edge of Lake Erie and turn around.

“If it scares you, it might be a good thing to try.”-Seth Godin

The summer of 2016 I applied for Spanish Immersion School, packed my things, and left two weeks later. I went completely alone to Costa Rica, knowing limited Spanish, and lived with a stranger for awhile.
Great new adventures, new knowledge, and of course great new friends.

And a shout out to my parents whom I am giving grey hairs. I love you always.
